Lauren Conrad's No Actress

As she gears up for a fourth season of her MTV reach reality prove The Hills, Lauren Conrad is also preparing to guest star on the ABC Family drama Greek. She'll play herself on the show-- which is secure, because Conrad insists she can't act.

"I tried [playing] when I first moved to L.A., " she tells ET in an question set to air tonight. "I took a couple of classes. Awful. Any opportunity you have to make fun of yourself I cerebrate is playfulness to do, but performing is an art and I don't think I have a talent there."

But back to The Hills-- Lauren says fans can look forward to (gasp!) much more drama in the fourth season.

"There are a couple of reconciliations on the show, but things got worse before they got better," she reveals.

Conrad will serve her first Emmy Awards this yr. She's designing a dress for the women who hand out the Emmy statuettes--the first sentence a famous person designer has done so in Emmy history.

Of what she plans to design, Lauren says, "They ar not supposed to stand out, just you still want an element of your own design in there. It will be a classic, beautiful look with my own twist."

Integrity was formed in Cleveland in 1989 in the main as a vehicle for the philosophical and religious musings of singer Dwid, the one perpetual in the band's membership, wHO also handles sampling and electronics (as he besides does in his hardcore techno-influenced face project Psywarfare). Integrity's sound is vivid and unmanageable to distinguish, a melding of high-velocity hard-core punk rocker, leaden slam dance metal, an industrial/techno tone courtesy of Dwid's sampling experiments, and the kind of angular, noisy guitar riffs unremarkably establish on the heavier position of alternate rock or substitute metallic element. Lineup changes attended near every Integrity album, just i original member -- guitarist Aaron Melnick -- stuck it out with Dwid for the brobdingnagian majority of the band's universe below the constitute Integrity. The mathematical radical issued its debut album, Those Who Fear Tomorrow, in 1991, and for a time recorded more often than not for singles and compilations. They finally returned in 1995 with Systems Overload, recorded for the Victory label, which would outlet most (merely non all) of the band's recordings through the remainder of the '90s. Releases such as 1996's World Is the Devil and 1997's Seasons in the Size of Days ground Dwid's religious obsessions taking center microscope stage in near concept album radiation pattern; the records besides helped diversify Integrity's audience beyond the hard-core faithful into heavy metallic element circles. In 1997, the band issued the rarities solicitation Taste perception of Every Sin on its have Holy Terror (erst Dark Empire) label. In 1999, following Melnick's release, Dwid re-christened the mathematical chemical group Integrity 2000 and teamed up with guitar player Dave Felton to co-write nearly of the material on the "new" band's eponymic album, which featured vocal contributions from In Cold Blood's Jason Popson. Block and In Contrast of Tomorrow got bet on to fundamental principle in 2001.

Sources tell us that there was a mark on the girl's arm that confirmed her story. The Orange County sheriff's office has interviewed the mother, who claims the broomstick incident was an accident. Her response to one question was...the girl ran into the broomstick. Sure...

Study puts $2.1-billion price tag on Hollywood writers strike

LOS ANGELES - A new report has determined the Hollywood writers strike could end up costing California's economy $2.1 billion.

The study, released Thursday by the Milken Institute, also projected a net loss this year of 37,700 jobs directly and indirectly tied to the entertainment industry.

The three-month strike shut down production of dozens of TV shows before a contract deal was reached in February.

Effects of the walkout are still rippling across California's $1.6-trillion economy.

Many of those who lost their jobs were not hired back, and the strike's effect was magnified because those who lost their jobs cut back on spending, the study said.

The effects of the strike were expected to diminish throughout the rest of this year and be barely noticeable by early next year, the study said.

The Milken Institute is an independent economic think tank.

'Iron Man' Premieres For A-List Comic Book Geeks, As Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau Hint At Avengers Follow-Up

HOLLYWOOD — Tony Stark is a man who parties hard, surrounds himself with gorgeous people and knows how to keep a secret. It's no surprise, then, that Wednesday's high-wattage "Iron Man" premiere was a bash fit for the billionaire.
"The audiences are loving it, and it's gonna make big dough," Robert Downey Jr. grinned on the red carpet in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater, watching such A-listers as Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Pete Wentz and Diddy file inside. "Then, hopefully, we'll get to do it again."
Before the evening was over, the second half of that statement became the buzz of the red carpet. Just hours after MTV News published a story reporting that Samuel L. Jackson's "top secret" cameo might be re-inserted before fans see the movie this weekend, we began receiving reports of Nick Fury sightings after the end credits in such countries as Australia.
"Sam L. appears in the movie," executive producer Peter Billinglsey finally fessed up. "Marvel likes to use these movies to announce [things], and tip their hand at different things to come.
"There's a tip of the hat toward a future franchise," he added, referring to the scene in which Jackson reportedly recruits Tony Stark for the Avengers Initiative. "The Avengers is a movie a lot of people would like to see someday."
For those of you who prefer Shakespeare to Stan Lee (shame on you!), the Avengers is a Marvel Comics supergroup made up of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and others; Downey recently shot a cameo for June's "The Incredible Hulk," further indicating that an Avengers flick is moving forward. (Find out what our panel of comic book experts thinks of this and other upcoming adaptations here.)
"It might not be a bad idea to stay until the very end of the movie," "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau warned. "Let's put it that way."
But even if guests like Stiller, Carla Gugino and Channing Tatum weren't screening a print with the Nick Fury bonus footage, they were still eager to get inside and watch Marvel's 45-year-old hero finally take flight on the silver screen.
"I haven't seen it yet; I can't wait," insisted the legendary Lee, one of four men who co-conceived the character in 1963. "[Iron Man] was just another character I created in the early 1960s, and nobody was making a big fuss about it. ... All I hoped, as with all our characters, is that it would sell, and I'd be able to keep my job and be able to pay the rent."
Now, with projections that the movie's opening weekend could kick off the summer with box-office numbers north of $75 million, "Iron Man" is paying a lot of people's rent. "You turn into a 9-year-old kid when you do a superhero movie," beamed Faran Tahir, who plays the terrorist Raza in the flick. "Everybody had so much fun making it."
"Tony Stark is such a badass," insisted "Hot Fuzz" star Simon Pegg, attending the premiere to see the film for a second time already. "He's got troubles, but he's even darker than Batman, because he's not a namby-pamby. Batman's crying all the time."
"[Stark] is living the life," agreed another lifelong Iron Man fan, "Scrubs" star Donald Faison. "I'm such a black nerd it's ridiculous. I'm a blerd."
"The good news," laughed Jeff Bridges, perhaps overhearing such statements, "is that these [Iron Man] suits will be available to the public next year."
"The Iron Man suit can fly, it can shoot stuff out of it," Gwyneth Paltrow, the film's Pepper Potts, marveled, "and it can make [Robert Downey Jr.] look very sexy."
"The suit makes the man," the film's star laughed, heading inside the theater to watch his superhero debut. "We really rolled up our sleeves. ... This is a big deal to me."
Check out everything we've got on "Iron Man."

Barrymore In Hit And Run Chase

Actress Drew Barrymore chased a hit and run motorist around Los Angeles after the reckless driver smashed into her car and sped off. The 50 First Dates star was driving in West Hollywood just before 12pm on Monday when she was rear-ended, reports Tmz.com. But instead of pulling over to exchange insurance details, the perpetrator made off - forcing brave Barrymore to take vigilante action. She eventually lost track of the vehicle, but she did at least commit the offending car's license plate number to memory - and pass on the information. Police are reportedly investigating the incident, but no arrests had been made as Wenn goes to press.

I love being naked, Spice Girl says

Former Spice Girl and lingerie model Mel B loves walking around naked.

The singer, who was recently unveiled as the new face of Ultimo lingerie, admits she really enjoys the free feeling of nudity, and claims the underwear she has been modelling gives her a similar rush.

She said: "The underwear is classy and sophisticated. I feel great. I love walking around naked so it's perfect - it feels like I'm not wearing anything at all."

Mel also revealed that her husband, Stephen Belafonte, is a fan of the underwear.

She added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Stephen wanted to inspect the underwear before I signed up. He didn't want me involved with anything tacky but when we saw the range we fell in love with it.

"Stephen especially likes me in the bridal range. It's white, lacy and dainty. He says it makes me look innocent. I can't help thinking it would take more than a pair of white knickers to do that!"

Mel also revealed she was "shocked" to be offered the contract, following in the footsteps of previous Ultimo models like Girls Aloud beauty Sarah Harding and Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster.

She said: "I was shocked. I mean, I'm a mother twice over. I'm in my 30s. I couldn't quite believe it when they said they wanted me parading about the place in sexy lingerie.

"I was dead flattered."

Neil Diamond - Diamond Doesnt Have Time For Friends

Legendary crooner NEIL DIAMOND deliberately cuts himself off from family and friends - because his commitment to music doesn't give him time for other people.

The Sweet Caroline hitmaker has been married twice and is father to four children.

But the 67-year-old admits he doesn't have time for his family because he is too busy making records.

He says, "Personal relationships? I have none. I have no friends and it's just impossible to have relationships.

"My closest friend is a fellow I went to high school with. I haven't seen him in four years. Not spoken to him in three and haven't written to him in two.

"And he will always be my closest friend. I have people I love but not friends in the usual way. Does it sadden me? It's my life...it's just what it is.

"I see photographs of people who are friends and I would like to be able to call somebody up and just chat or go out for a beer. As it is, I don't have that.

"It's the price I have to pay and I have absolutely no complaints. I make this journey, for the most part, alone."
